**ODH induced abortions, 2018
Since 1984, the third Sunday in January has been recognized as National Sanctity of Human Life Day when it was proclaimed by President Reagan in response to the legalization of abortion in 1973.
Abortions are performed surgically or chemically (through the abortion pill). While surgical abortions decreased in Montgomery County, chemical abortions increased by 232%! The abortion pill is being promoted with words like “convenient,” “self-managed,” and “no need to take off work.” (https://plancpills.org) In addition, one study showed 54% of women having abortions identify as Christians. (Guttmacher) The battle to preserve life and educate women about abortion continues.
After seeing “Unplanned,” an urgency to do more arrested my spirit. God’s plan for my healing continued. Initially, I didn’t feel I needed counseling, and that I had already dealt with my abortion. Thank God I did! I used the term “abortion” to sugarcoat the act I had truly committed, and it dehumanized my baby. The fact is, I killed my child; but more importantly, God’s truth reminded me that He did not see me as a killer. His truth reminded me that the blood of Jesus Christ cleansed me from all of my sins, and I was truly forgiven once I repented!
